The Conservation Education program of the Nebraska Forest Service can provide a variety of activities and resources to teach about the environment and engage children in the outdoors.
What We Do
The Conservation Education Program offers fun, hand-on training to help educators teach young people about the environment. Workshop participants are provided with materials appropriate for classrooms of all subjects, nature centers, childcare centers, backyards, and more. Don't wait until the kids you know are all grown up! Bring environmental education into your routine today. More...
The Sustainable Schoolyard Partnership (SSP) is a multi-partner, statewide initiative available to Nebraska elementary, middle, and high schools. It has been designed to improve the sustainability, ecological quality, and learning opportunities of school grounds. Funds may still be available for landscape projects on a rolling basis.
